5th Class Room 27 Bog Workshop 2017

     We learned about Irish bogs and peat lands with Nuala from the Heritage in Schools Scheme. We had lots of fun identifying bogland plants using our own bog plant dial and freshwater mini beasts from pictures. Those who were brave enough also had the opportunity to hold a newt!  

Fifth Class School Tour 2017

This year we went to Trinity Sports Centre for our School Tour. We had fantastic fun jumping on the huge trampolines, learning the skills of fencing and climbing the massive climbing wall.

  • Next Generation EU Project Our school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU. The funding was used to give all children in the school access to digital technology. We purchased i pads, digital subscriptions to literacy and numeracy apps. We upgraded our infrastructure to include wifi, cloud storage, microsoft teams and panels for classrooms.
