Dear Parent / Guardian,
I emailed you last Friday about your daughter’s graduation ceremony. It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that the school has to cancel this event. The reason for this is our school insurer will not cover the event as it is breaking current government guidelines. Unfortunately our hands are tied and in this circumstance, we must follow the advice given by the insurance company, managerial body and HSE to ensure the safety of all our pupils, parents and staff.
I understand that your daughter will be very disappointed. I can assure you that we, the staff, are too. We had hoped to see the girls face to face to say goodbye and wish them well.
We had organised a certificate and some leaving gifts to mark your daughter’s time in St. Louise’s. The teachers will give these to you on Friday, when you are returning the book rental books and collecting your daughter’s personal items.
We will have a celebration on our school website next Thursday 25th June to mark your daughter’s graduation. More details to follow closer to the time.
It may be possible to bring the girls together in the autumn for a final farewell.
Thanks for your understanding with this matter.
Kind regards,
Alma Quinn
